An interview with Onomastika Thanatosis

This project consists of digitizing my analogue photographs and engaging in an improvisation process with artificial neural networks resulting with a gradual metamorphosing of these photographs. These mutations gave birth to a video interview, in which my virtual avatar - Onomastika Thanatosis - comments on their work while the images slowly - almost imperceptibly - mutate into monstrous forms. The dialogue of the interview itself was also co-generated with an AI.

Ce projet consiste à numériser mes photographies argentiques et à s'engager dans un processus d'improvisation avec les réseaux de neurones artificiels qui entraîne une métamorphose progressive de ces photographies. Ces mutations ont conduit au montage d'une interview vidéo, dans laquelle mon avatar virtuel - Onomastika Thanatosis - commente son travail tandis que les images se transforment lentement - de manière presque imperceptible - en formes monstrueuses. Le dialogue de l'entretien lui-même a également été co-généré avec une IA.
